FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to air and water cycloid propellers. Cycloid rotor or cycloid propeller drive comprises vanes carriages arranged to displace on at least one blade positioning guide. Each carriage is flexibly connected to both adjacent carriages of blades; at that, the specified carriages of blades are driven by at least one flexible drive element, which forms a closed loop and is operatively connected to the drive. By means of engagement means the flexible drive element is in traction at any moment of time with at least one carriage of blades.
EFFECT: possibility of changing shape and size of said loop and, accordingly, shape and size of orbits of blades, dynamic balancing of rotor with asymmetric orbit of blades.
