FIELD: rail vehicles.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to railway transport, particularly, to car roof manufacturing. Car roof manufacturing method comprises fitting roof carcass crosswise and lengthwise beams and fitting roof skin side plates. Crosswise beams and longitudinal beams of the roof frame are connected to each other, two side sheets of the roof skin, pre-assembled from separate elements, are fixed on the roof frame. Top sheet pre-assembled of separate elements is secured to roof frame. Two sides of upper sheet of roof skin, linear dimensions of which are maximum, are bent in lower part, obtaining bent ends, which are laid overlapped on side sheets of roof skin, after which they are connected to the latter. Lower radii of bend of bent ends are made at least 1.5 mm, and bent ends are made with length of at least 3 mm.
EFFECT: invention provides for simplicity of manufacturing of single solid structure of car roof without occurrence of gaps, deformations in the form of cracks and fractures.
