SUBSTANCE: invention relates to railway transport, particularly, to design of unloading hatch covers used in universal open-top wagons. Hatch cover of railway open-top wagon includes sheet (1), frame (2), hinges (3), brackets of locking mechanism (4). Frame comprises hinge beam (5), front beam (6), middle beams (7) and side beams (8). Hatch cover sheet is made flat with bending from the rolled sheet on the side of the hinge beam. According to the first version, the frame beams are made of bent profiles, according to the second version, the front frame beam is made of a hot-rolled channel, according to the third version, front and side beams of the frame are made of hot-rolled channel, and other beams of the frame are made of bent profiles. Middle beams are connected to each other by at least one connecting element (9). Connecting element with height h is less than height h1 of middle beams, and height h1 of middle beams is less than height h2 of side beams. Height h1 of side beams and front beam are levelled relative to one height. Distance L between middle beams is less than distance L1 between front beam and nearest to it middle beam, as well as distance L2 between hinge beam and nearest to it middle beam.

EFFECT: invention improves the rigidity and strength of the hatch cover of a railway open-top wagon, as well as ensures the reliability of the structure during operation.
