JAR ACCELERATOR Russian patent published in 2024 - IPC E21B31/113

Abstract RU 2828968 C1

FIELD: oil and gas industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to oil and gas industry and can be used to release drilling equipment stuck in a well. Device comprises a spindle connected to a working pipe string and a guide interacting with the spindle by means of a spline connection, housing and lower sub, rigidly connected to the guide and to each other, a hollow rod rigidly and coaxially connected to the spindle and arranged coaxially to the housing, compression plate springs arranged coaxially in the housing, a stop on the hollow rod and a sealed oil chamber with a float. In the lower part of the housing there is a fixed cylindrical bushing rigidly connected to the housing, forming an internal annular cavity with the hollow rod, inside of which a movable bushing is installed coaxially with possibility of axial movement, which contains a protrusion for interaction with the upper end of the fixed cylindrical bushing and compression disk springs in the closed state of the accelerator, which ensures transfer of the compressive load to the hydraulic jar. Distance between the stop of the hollow rod and the lower surface of the movable bushing is a free spring-loaded accelerator stroke. Maximum stroke of accelerator corresponds to extension of spindle relative to guide to maximum possible distance limited by stroke of spindle adapter inside guide. Length of free stroke of accelerator is not less than half of length of free stroke of hydraulic jar. Length of maximum stroke of accelerator exceeds length of free stroke of hydraulic jar at impact upwards.

EFFECT: expanded functionality of the accelerator, reduced dynamic loads acting on the working string, BHA and surface equipment both during operation of the jar and during drilling.
