FIELD: linear accelerators.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of linear charged particle accelerators and represents a design of current-conducting quoting units for accelerating structures with spatially homogeneous quadrupole focusing of a linear resonant accelerator, made on basis of 4-chamber resonator with a system of electrodes. Adjustment assembly is made in the form of a current-conducting adjustment support of cylindrical shape, which is located near the axial region of the resonator and connects the electrode longitudinally divided into two unequal parts so that the upper smaller part – the top of the electrode – and the lower larger part – the base of the electrode – form a connection by means of said support while maintaining electrical contact of the entire structure of the divided electrode with the resonator housing.
EFFECT: providing and long-term preservation of the required accuracy of adjustment of modulated electrodes in the paraxial region of the accelerating structure without significant reduction of its energy efficiency.
