FIELD: heat exchange.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a device for passive removal of excess energy from NPP facilities without using external energy sources or additional equipment. Device contains an evaporative heat exchanger made in the form of an evaporation module containing seats for fuel assemblies inside, the seats of which are located in the pool water. Module is filled with low-boiling working fluid, is equipped in its upper part with steam pipes, connected through a steam header and a pipeline to an external condenser heat exchanger located near the ventilation cooling channel. External heat exchanger is connected by means of condensate branch pipes to the steam header, to which the drain pipelines are connected, and the other ends of these pipelines are introduced into the lower part of the module through open check valves.
EFFECT: provision of efficient use of spent fuel assemblies spent fuel pool volume and increased versatility of the device for passive removal of residual heat release.
