FIELD: electric chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: electrochemical deposition of protective coatings on valve metals and their alloys, including high-strength alloy D16T widely used in aircraft, machine and shipbuilding and, in particular, in the manufacture of molds for pressing mixtures to obtain ceramic rods for subsequent fabrication of turbine blades. The method includes a three-stage oxidation process in alkaline aqueous electrolyte solutions at alternating current densities from 10 to 50 A/dm2, and the duration of the oxidation process at the third stage of the process is taken equal to the ratio of 180 minutes to the given alternating current density value 180/|i|.
EFFECT: stable production of hard wear-resistant coatings, resistant to the pressing of ceramic mixtures, on complex-shaped parts made of valve metals, including D16T alloy, without changing their linear dimensions and maintaining geometry, with minimal power consumption and high process productivity of plasma-electrolytic oxidation.
