SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of trimethylsilyl derivatives of nitrogen- and oxygen-containing compounds. Disclosed is a method of producing trimethylsilyl derivatives of formula (I), which involves reacting nitrogen-containing compounds, selected from monoethanolamine, 2,2-aminoethoxyethanol and isonicotinic acid hydrazide, with trimethylchlorosilane in an active medium consisting of triethylamine and hexamethyldisilazane in molar ratio of 1:2:2:4 and temperature of 50 °C.

EFFECT: exclusion of multistage method, necessity to use solvents and subsequent stages of their distillation, as well as increase of target product output.
