FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of producing trimethylalkoxysilanes. Disclosed is a method of producing trimethylalkoxysilanes by reacting the corresponding alcohol with hexamethyldisilazane in ratio (alcohol : hexamethyldisilazane) = 2:1.05 without using a solvent with addition of 0.4–1.0% moles of methylphosphonic acid as a catalyst. For separation and purification of target substances obtained using this method, it is not required to use a method of azeotropic rectification, fractionation is sufficient.
EFFECT: reduced staging, cheapening of production processes and increased output of trimethylalkoxysilanes of high purity for synthesis of physiologically active substances.
