FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a method of producing 1-S-trimethylsilyl-2-(N,N-diethylamino)ethane via silylation of the thiol group in 2-diethylaminoethanethiol with a mixture of hexamethyldisilazane and trimethylchlorosilane in molar ratio of reactants (2-diethylaminoethanethiol:hexamethyldisilazane:trimethylchlorosilane) of 3:1:1 in a chloroform medium. The method provides good output of 1-S-trimethylsilyl-2-(N,N-diethylamino)ethane, which can be used as a thiiylation agent in organic synthesis of products of decomposition of an analogue of substance Vx (isobutyl ester S,β-(diethylamino)ethylthiol ester of methylsulphonic acid) when producing state standard samples of the composition thereof, used for metrological support of the process of destroying chemical weapons.
