FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to electrical engineering, to a method of making a thin-layer metal lithium electrode for primary and secondary chemical current sources and to an apparatus for realizing such a method. Method of making a thin-layer metal lithium electrode includes unwinding a roll of lithium foil; positioning the lithium foil workpiece on the working table of the lithium electrode laser cutting device; cutting a lithium electrode of a given configuration using a laser located outside the glove box, and placing the obtained lithium electrode in a special container inside the glove box. Apparatus for realizing the disclosed method consists of a glove box with design features and a laser radiation source placed outside the glove box.
EFFECT: development of a simple and accessible method, as well as cheap equipment required for production of a metal lithium electrode of various sizes and configuration from thin-layer lithium foil.
