FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medical equipment, essentially to a drug delivery device, namely to a drug delivery device with protection against contamination, power supply control, power supply control and/or power supply operation. Drug delivery device configured to administer a drug comprises a body, a delivery mechanism, a drug holder and a detachable power supply. Body comprises a first electrical contact of the body and a second electrical contact of the body. Delivery mechanism is configured to supply a drug, wherein the delivery mechanism is located inside the housing. Drug holder is configured to hold the drug. Removable power supply is configured to supply power to the drug delivery device. Removable power supply comprises the first electrical contact of the power supply and the second electrical contact of the power supply. Housing comprises a housing protection mechanism configured to be in a first configuration configured to protect a first electrical contact of the housing, when the detachable power supply is not installed inside the housing; and in a second configuration configured to provide contact between the first electrical contact of the housing and the first electrical contact of the power supply and between the second electrical contact of the power supply, when the detachable power supply is installed inside the housing; and/or detachable power supply comprises a power supply protection mechanism configured to be in a first configuration configured to protect a second electrical contact of the power supply, when the detachable power supply is not installed inside the housing; and in a second configuration configured to provide contact between the first electrical contact of the housing and the first electrical contact of the power supply and between the second electrical contact of the housing and the second electrical contact of the power supply when the detachable power supply is installed inside the housing.
EFFECT: invention enables to protect the drug administration device from moisture contamination and to prevent the contaminated drug administration to the user.
