FIELD: fiber optics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of specialized optical fibers for devices used in conditions of high radiation background, including in space conditions. Optical fiber comprises a core of undoped quartz glass with a refraction index equal to or lower than the refraction index of the quartz glass of the outer shell, a light-reflecting shell made of quartz glass doped with fluorine, two longitudinally extending tension rods located at a distance from the center of the light-conducting core equal to or less than its radius, located entirely inside the light-reflecting fluorinated shell, as well as double protective-reinforcing polymer coating.
EFFECT: high radiation resistance of optical fiber with anisotropic properties and stability of parameters.
