FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: proposed LED may be used in fiber communication lines and for production of physical magnetic transducers. Proposed LED comprises light conducting core, core reflecting shell from quartz doped by fluorine round loading rods from boron-doped quartz, protective quartz shell and protective-hardening polymer coat. Said loading rods comprises annular shell from fluorine-doped quartz with refractivity equal or approximating to that of light conducting core shell to allow annular shell molten mass viscosity to exceed that of loading rods and to have thickness equal to or smaller than that of light conducting core. Loading rods are arranged at distance from light conducting core equal to or exceeding light conducting core radius.
EFFECT: stabilised optical and geometrical characteristics.
