FIELD: transportation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of monitoring axial loads of trailers or semi-trailers, implemented for identification of axial overload and measurement of actual axial load on roadway, with possibility of parameterisation of vehicle equipment without use of reference load or weighing equipment. Monitoring method includes the following stages: parameterisation of the vehicle equipment is carried out, then the computing device generates data and transmits them to the controller of the control unit using error control; in the process of transmitting parametric data, the controller transmits via an internal communication channel the parametric data to the read-only memory located inside the control unit for storing and subsequent retrieval of said data; after which the pressure sensor measures the pressure change in the pneumatic suspension of the trailer or semi-trailer under the effect of the weight of the load; when pressure changes, the measuring membrane is deformed; modified output signal is received by ADC of head control unit, and then processed and converted by microcontroller; recording the measurement results in the internal memory of the control unit in an encrypted form; after that, the obtained data are displayed on the computing device of the user and/or on the indicator of the vehicle in the form of a numerical value in tons of load on each axle and load on a group of axles.
EFFECT: higher accuracy of identification of overload of trailers and semi-trailers and measurement of actual load on road surface with subsequent conversion of measurement results into weight values.
