FIELD: machine building industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to weighing means and can be used to measure load on a semitrailer gooseneck. Method comprises the following stages. At least one strain gauge is installed on the vertical wall of the semitrailer gooseneck. Obtaining data on measuring the degree of stretching of the metal wall of the gooseneck under the effect of the weight of the load placed on the platform of the semitrailer, from at least one strain gauge and transmitting the obtained measurement data to the control unit. Load on semitrailer gooseneck is determined by calculation in control unit of obtained measurement data into weight value and obtained results are stored in memory of control unit. Obtained data are displayed in the application on the personal device of the user.

EFFECT: high-accuracy determination of the actual load on the semitrailer gooseneck, including determination of the load on the driving axle (group of axles) of the tractor with which the semitrailer is coupled.
