FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method of executing a quantum algorithm in the form of a sequence of quantum logic gates using a quantum system based on ions in a trap. Method includes steps of using a computing device connected to a quantum computing system: obtaining an initial sequence of logic gates T; performing approximation of initial sequence of logic gates T; searching for optimal parameters in form of values of angles of obtained sequence of logic gates T; performing the conversion of the initial sequence of logic elements T into equivalent physical operations of the quantum system based on ions using the obtained sequence of optimal parameters, forming control parameters for quantum algorithm sequence execution by quantum system, wherein said parameters include the following: laser detuning from carrier transition; laser detuning from the transition of the side band; pulse duration; Rabi frequency controlled by laser pulse intensity; Lamb-Dicke parameter; electromagnetic trap frequency; transmitting a sequence of optimal parameters of performing physical operations to a quantum system; using a quantum system, said quantum algorithm is performed using the obtained sequence of optimal parameters for performing physical operations, while controlling ions electromagnetically trapped in the quantum system.
EFFECT: obtaining, using a digital computing device, control parameters for a quantum computing system based on ions in the trap, which cause the quantum system to change states given by its own Hamiltonian, so that the evolution in the quantum system corresponds to a sequence of logical operations.
