FIELD: measurement technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for acoustic emission measurement of sliding friction unit wear. Essence of invention consists in installation of acoustic emission transducer on controlled object, recording acoustic signals, calculation of wear is performed by values of informative parameters after their sorting into groups, at that, as informative parameter multiparameter informative parameter (E) is used, which is formed on the basis of parallel analysis of an experimental array of acoustic emission data, which includes: where
is the root-mean-square value; W is energy; A is amplitude; S is the effective spectrum width; ƒ is median frequency;
is count rate; Nt is activity and σ is dispersion of AE signals.
EFFECT: enabling early detection of damages in conditions of low signal-to-noise ratio at several simultaneously acting AE sources, arising in accordance with different wear mechanisms.
