FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: using for acoustic emission diagnostics of industrial equipment. Essence of invention is that recording and processing of acoustic emission data in a non-threshold manner is performed, at the same time, recognition of the damage type and evaluation of the equipment's suitability for operation is carried out on the basis of comparison of similarity of informative parameters of acoustic emission for each period of operation of the diagnosed equipment.
EFFECT: providing the possibility of early detection of defects and damages in the equipment under conditions of low signal-to-noise ratio at several simultaneously operating sources of acoustic emission.
