FIELD: fluoropolymers.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to fluoropolymers and methods for production thereof. Disclosed is a fluoropolymer of monomer (I) of general formula CX2=CX-O-Rf-A, where X is F; Rf is a fluorine-containing alkylene group having 1–5 carbon atoms, or a fluorine-containing alkylene group having 2–12 carbon atoms and having an ether bond or a keto group; and A is -COOM, -SO3M or -OSO3M, where M is -H, metal atom, -NR74, imidazolium, optionally having a substitute, which is an alkyl group having 1–8 carbon atoms, pyridinium, optionally having a substitute which is an alkyl group having 1–8 carbon atoms, or phosphonium, optionally having a substitute which is an alkyl group having 1–8 carbon atoms, and R7 is H or an alkyl group, in which the content of the polymerisation unit derived from monomer (I) is 40 mol.% or more based on all polymerisation units making up the fluoropolymer, and which has ion-exchange capacity of 1.50 meq/g or more, weight-average molecular weight (Mw) of 1.4 × 104 or more. Invention also discloses an aqueous solution of a fluoropolymer, a coating composition and a method of producing a fluoropolymer.

EFFECT: composition based on the disclosed fluoropolymer enables to obtain a homogeneous film with the desired thickness, high hydrophilicity and an antireflection effect.
