FIELD: computer engineering.

SUBSTANCE: technical result is achieved by a system which comprises a master controller, a source subsystem operating in the main application infrastructure, and a receiver subsystem operating in the backup infrastructure. Master controller is configured to determine storage resources in the main infrastructure, which are used for operation of the application, for replication to the backup infrastructure and for each of the determined storage resources (source resource), select the corresponding storage resource (destination resource) in the backup infrastructure, forming a replication pair of the source resource and the destination resource. Each of the source subsystem and the receiver subsystem comprises: a host controller interacting with the master controller, a replication pair manager and replication components under the control of the replication pair manager. Synchronization with consistent replication of data between them is performed between the main and backup infrastructures.

EFFECT: higher disaster tolerance of application information infrastructure.
