FIELD: various technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing a coating from iron on carbon fibre for composite materials for tribotechnical purposes. In reactor carbon fibre is heated to temperature of 145-180 °C. In said reactor at rate of 65-75 l/h, heated to temperature of 55-65 °C steam mixture of iron pentacarbonyl and carbon monoxide in volume ratio of 1:5 to form a coating of iron with thickness of 10 to 30 nm on the carbon fibre.
EFFECT: obtaining carbon fibre with a metal coating from iron to optimize technological properties of the filler used in producing polymer composite materials by pressure casting with improved thermophysical, strength, deformation and antifriction properties.
