FIELD: measuring.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measurement equipment and is intended for reception and measurement of low-frequency electromagnetic field in marine environment. Device for receiving and measuring a low-frequency electromagnetic field at sea comprises an information processing unit, two sensors located on a dielectric platform, first and second amplifiers and a subtractor. First sensor has the first and the second electrodes made in the form of identical rectangular metal plates embedded flush into the flat surface of the dielectric platform. Front and rear edges of the electrodes are parallel to the front edge of the dielectric platform. Distance from the front edge of the platform to the rear boundary of the electrodes is determined by the formula l≤0.35/V, where distance l is in meters, V is towing speed in m/s. Second sensor has the third and the fourth electrodes made in the form of identical rectangular metal plates and located in the direction of movement in front of the electrodes of the first sensor so that their front edge coincides with the front edge of the dielectric platform. Output of the subtractor is connected to the information processing unit, and the inputs are connected to the outputs of the first and second amplifiers. Inputs of the amplifiers are connected to the first and second electrodes of the first sensor and the third and fourth electrodes of the second sensor, respectively.

EFFECT: increased sensitivity due to reduction of electrode motion noise of the sensor.
