FIELD: radio engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for receiving and measuring the strength of electromagnetic fields of ultra-low and extremely low frequencies (ULF and ELF) in the marine environment. Essence: an electrode sensor of an electric field in the sea contains first and second electrodes installed on a towed dielectric platform at a distance from each other, made in the form of rectangular metal plates built flush into the flat surface of the dielectric platform. The leading and trailing edges of the electrodes are parallel to the leading edge of the dielectric platform. The distance from the leading edge of the platform to the rear boundary of the electrode is determined by the formula , where is the distance in meters, V0 - towing speed in m/s. In this case, the distance from the leading edge of the platform to the leading edge of the electrode is , and the platform has the shape of a wedge with an apex angle of 5-10 degrees.
EFFECT: increased sensitivity by reducing the electrode noise of the sensor movement.
