FIELD: oil and gas industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the oil and gas industry, more specifically to the field of operation of low-flow rate wells with installations of centrifugal pumps with a submersible electric drive. It is intended to provide efficient heat removal from the submersible electric motor at low inflow of fluid from the formation, as well as at operation of low-rate wells in intermittent mode. Submersible installation of an electrically driven centrifugal pump with a protective cooling device includes an electrically driven centrifugal pump with an inlet module, submersible electric motor with a thermomanometric system and hydraulic protection, a submersible cable, a protective cooling device located outside the submersible electric motor, fixed on the housing of the input module of the electrically driven centrifugal pump, wherein inner surface of protective cooling device has vertical rectangular ribbing plates uniformly distributed along perimeter of inner surface of device housing to form channel in inner cavity of device to allow free ascending fluid flow.

EFFECT: proposed invention will make it possible to intensify heat exchange between submersible electric motor and flowing liquid flow, due to which optimal thermal mode of submersible electric motor and reliable operation of installation of electrically driven centrifugal pump are provided.
