FIELD: oil and gas industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to oil industry and can be used in installations of submersible electric centrifugal pumps with submersible electric motors in casing, pumping from wells gas-liquid mixtures with high content of gas. In gas separation method combined with cooling of submersible electric motor, in wells with large gas factor submersible electric motor with hydraulic protection, cooled by pumped liquid, is equipped with sealed outer casing, which is fixed on lower flange of electric-centrifugal pump and hydraulically connected to cavity of pipe string of shank. In the submersible electric motor casing, there is a gas separator which is connected to the input module or is combined with the input module. Seal element with channel for power cable of electric drive pump and / or electric lines for connection of additional equipment is arranged on gas separator housing by means of split thrust cartridge and devices and lines of chemical reagents injection or gas removal, which divides in casing cavity of inlet of formation fluid with associated gas into inlet module and gas separator, and cavity for gas outlet from gas separator. Casing has openings for gas outlet from said cavity into annular space. Gas-liquid mixture is supplied from shank into casing and then into inlet module and gas separator, effective cooling of submersible electric motor by flow, swirling of gas-liquid mixture flow, separation of flow with subsequent removal of separated gas into annular space and supply of degassed liquid to electric centrifugal pump.

EFFECT: higher efficiency and reliability of submersible electric centrifugal pump with submersible electric motor in housing for oil production from wells with high gas content due to separation of gas-liquid mixture and efficient cooling of submersible electric motor.
