FIELD: mining.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mining, to equipment for prevention of explosions of dust-air mixtures in coal mines, which are hazardous in terms of gas and dust, and is intended for application of inert dust on soil, sides and roof of mine workings by a mechanized method. Device includes a hopper formed by longitudinal and end vertical walls connected by adjacent side edges, having a cover on top. Said vertical walls are connected from below to their corresponding lengthwise inclined walls, which are narrowed downwards and connected to each other by adjacent side edges, and by lower edges – to horizontal bottom of the hopper. Device also includes a flange, a fan, a chamber for mixing inert stone dust with air, a confuser and is adapted for transportation. Mixing chamber is made in the form of a box with a horizontal bottom and vertical walls attached to the lower edges of the vertical walls of the hopper. In the end wall of the box there is an inlet opening, above which in the vertical wall of the hopper there is a delivery window equipped with a slide gate valve. On the outer side of the box, to its end walls and the hopper, a flange with a fan is attached. Flange has a diameter overlapping the inlet opening of the box and the delivery window of the hopper. In the opposite wall of the box there is an outlet hole, to which a confuser is connected from the outside. Inclined walls of the hopper are made at an angle to its bottom of 45-50°. In the hopper bottom there are at least three unloading openings covered from below by a slide gate with outlet openings corresponding in shape, size and distance from each other to the said unloading openings of the hopper. Slide gate outlet openings are covered by fairings from below, half their length on fan side. Slide gate is made with possibility of longitudinal movement for alignment of unloading and discharge openings. At angles of intersection of longitudinal walls of the box with longitudinal inclined walls of the hopper on both sides there are at least three deflectors in the form of plates of triangular shape. Plates are inclined to the hopper bottom towards the confuser, and the area of the plates increases as the place of their installation is removed from the fan.
EFFECT: improved design of the device, simplified process of its operation, as well as increased control over speed and concentration of dust-air jet.
