FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of construction, namely to a method of manufacturing polygonal metal trusses with a lower belt broken along chords. Bottom belt is pre-bent in direction and plane of working deformation by concentrated forces in places of support of braces in area of plastic deformations to design geometry, then it is unloaded, and then additional fabrication with braces and upper belt. After plastic deformations in the lower belt, residual stresses from rolling, bending, welding are removed, and after removal of preload, residual stresses from bending are preserved in it, which, when added to tensile stresses from working load, reduce latter by 20-30%.
EFFECT: higher operational reliability of the truss.
