FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of curved metal beams. Method of making a curved metal beam, which is given the required curvilinearity, consists in the fact that first, the beam is pre-bent before the working load in the plane and the direction of the working bending beyond the elastic limit, in the area of plastic deformations, then, residual stresses are used as additional reserve of stresses and bending moment at repeated working loading with payloads in direction of the first bend.
EFFECT: higher beam bearing capacity.
