FIELD: drilling of oil and gas wells; chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to drilling oil and gas wells, particularly to production of reagents for chemical treatment of drilling fluids in various mining and geological conditions. In the method of producing a reagent for treating clay drilling muds, comprising preparing an aqueous suspension of a polycondensed modifier and an aqueous solution of sodium lignosulphonate, followed by drying it to a powder state, characterized by that, in order to obtain a polycondensed modifier, a polycondensation process of acrylamide and technical formalin, which is an aqueous solution with a weight fraction of formaldehyde of 36.5-37.5%, is carried out in the presence of malic acid at temperature of 90±5 °C for 3 hours at molar ratio of acrylamide : formalin : malic acid 1:1:1. Further, 50% aqueous solution of sodium lignosulphonate is added to the obtained polycondensed modifier in portions with constant stirring at a ratio by weight of dry substances polycondensed modifier to sodium lignosulphonate of 40 wt.% : 60 wt.% at process temperature 60±5 °C and duration of 2 hours.

EFFECT: effective control of viscosity and filtration of clay drilling muds in conditions of temperature and mineral aggression.
