FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of production and arrangement of expansion joints, which serve to cover the temperature gaps of structures, to take up the vertical load and to provide for movements between the mating elements of the structure of bridge structures and sealing gap between span structures to exclude water ingress on underlying structural elements of bridge structure. Expansion joint includes two bearing metal plates located with a gap relative to each other, connected to each other in their upper part by a deformation plate from an elastic polymer material, reinforced in its upper part located above the gap with a metal plate embedded in a polymer material and covering the gap, end parts of which are located above reinforcing lower belt of plate with lying F-shaped cross-section profiles, located towards each other with free ends of posts and facing upward flanges not higher than level of plate embedded in polymer material overlapping gap. Vertical sides are welded to the sides of the bearing metal plates opposite to the gap and contacting the ends of the deformation plate. Each bearing metal plate, F-shaped profiles between upward-facing shelves and deformation plate are made with coaxial through holes for serially connecting them threaded elements. On the side of the lower surface of each bearing metal plate coaxially to their through holes bushings with internal thread for threaded elements are welded, metal bars are welded to facing each other ends of bearing metal plates from below – profiles having symmetrically located longitudinal slots on the sides facing each other, into which the elastic compensator is inserted.
EFFECT: higher reliability of expansion joint.
