FIELD: providing navigation on the Arctic shelf.
SUBSTANCE: to melt ice on the fairway of the Northern Sea Route (NSR), a pipeline is laid on the bottom of the fairway by a NSR pipelayer, in which holes with diameter of 4–10 mm are made with a design pitch of 3, 4, 5 meters. Air is injected into pipeline by means of turbocompressor through receiver and shutoff valve, which through the holes rushes upwards by the flow of the increasing number of bubbles, carrying the increasing flow of "warm" water, by means of which ice is melted, and due to collapse of air bubbles under ice, ice melting is accelerated.
EFFECT: year-round safe with commercial speeds of environmentally friendly using unmanned ship servicing system transportation of unlimited volumes of various cargoes along the Northern Sea Route at relatively low one-time costs, as well as creation of non-freezing water area in ports, at berths and around floating crafts.
