Abstract RU 2831467 C2

FIELD: chemistry; pharmaceutics.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to compositions containing urea and amine functionalised silyl-containing polymers, which in combination with tackifying resins are used as pressure-sensitive adhesives and, more specifically, plasters for drug delivery. Disclosed is a composition for use for drug delivery to skin, which contains a cross-linked silyl-containing polymer and one or more drugs, wherein said polymer can be obtained by polymerising a first difunctional compound and a second difunctional compound, wherein the first and second difunctional compounds together contain a terminal amine group and a terminal isocyanate group, and where the first and second difunctional compounds have structures according to Formulas III and IV, respectively, or Formulas IIIa and IVa, respectively, where the silyl-containing group is provided on the ends of the silyl-containing polymer obtained by polymerising the first and second difunctional compounds; where said silyl-containing group has the structure Si(OR6)p(R6)3-p; where "p" is integer from 1 to 3, and each R6 is independently selected from C1-C10-alkyl or C1-C10-heteroalkyl group; and wherein said composition further comprises a tackifying resin. Also disclosed is an embodiment of said composition and a patch for transdermal drug delivery containing said composition. Disclosed compositions can be synthesized with less difficulty compared to urethane analogues and are compatible with a wide range of different drugs in the plaster system.

EFFECT: disclosed compositions are capable of not only preserving and transmitting active compounds to the skin, but also providing maximum efficacy of the delivered compounds for a certain period of time.
