FIELD: aviation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to aircraft engineering, particularly, to helicopter cargo external suspension systems. Helicopter external suspension for transportation and dropping of large-sized cargo contains upper lock, to which by means of transition links the current collector swivel and central cable are connected, a beam with load holders installed in it and an electric cable laid from the helicopter cabin along the rope to the said beam. Beam is made in the form of a frame of a truss spatial structure with projecting on the sides braces in the front part of the beam and a stabilizing element. Beam is equipped with fasteners at the ends of the braces and on the beam, located at an equal distance from each other. Each load holder is formed by two rectangular plates located mutually perpendicular to each other, touching with centres of planes, and connected to each other in the centre by pyrotechnic separation unit installed in holes of plates.
EFFECT: providing stability of position of large-sized cargo during flight, elimination of moment of force relative to centre of mass of cargo and elimination of force effects on cargo during drop.
