METHOD FOR SURGICAL CORRECTION OF NON-EXTENDED URETER STRICTURE Russian patent published in 2024 - IPC A61B17/00 

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to surgical urology. Retroperitoneal space is approached by dissecting the mesentery of the colon from the appropriate side at the level of localization of the proposed constriction. Ureter is exposed at the level of the constriction over a length sufficient to open the ureter lumen. Ureter lumen is opened above the stricture and the incision is extended longitudinally in the distal direction to healthy tissues. Cicatricial mucosa is excised within the narrowing of the ureter, preserving the muscular layer and the adventitia. Edges of the mucous-submucosal layer of the dissected ureter are compared with separate interrupted sutures. Internal ureteral stent is inserted. Anterior wall of the ureter is closed with a continuous suture in a longitudinal direction. Internal ureteral stent is removed at the end of the postoperative period.

EFFECT: method provides complete excision of cicatrical tissues and preservation of maximum blood supply of tissues due to preservation of muscular layer and ureter adventitia, which provides an adequate physiological passage of urine along the upper urinary tract and allows minimizing the risks of recurrent ureteral stricture.
