FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to optical equipment for remote sensing of the Earth and is used to correct geometric distortions of images. Disclosed method of correcting geometrical distortions of hyperspectral images consists in obtaining a sequence of lines of a scanning sensor and recording them in a memory device. Values of the roll angle are obtained, using which the number of displacement pixels is determined and each line is corrected based on them. Simultaneously with obtaining image lines, values of height D above the shooting surface are obtained. To calculate the corrections, determining the spatial coordinates of the nodal point of the optical system in the coordinate system of the construction axes of its carrier, they are entered as parameters into the equations of the projective camera and a correction is obtained as the difference between pixel coordinates of the image of the point under the hyperspectrometer at zero roll and at current roll.
EFFECT: reduced error in correcting the position of contour points of an object on an image formed by hyperspectral equipment.
