FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: proposed method comprises receiving series of frame sensor shots and those of scanning sensor. Reception of aforesaid shots are synchronised in time. Data received from sensors are read in memory device. Separate frame sensor shots are compared in the order of shooting sequence. Shift and turn of each shots are determined with respect to previous shot. Coordinates of centers of separate shots are compared to determine the trajectory of both sensors. Shots of frame sensor are superimposed on trajectory, one onto another, allowing for their position, to produce image of scanned surface in the form of mosaic. Said mosaic is used to construct mathematical transform for image correction by triangulation method. Obtained geometrical transform is used to scale scanning sensor data to obtain undistorted image of scanned surface. Video camera makes frame sensor. Scanning sensor represents "pushbroom" hyperspectometre.

EFFECT: system eliminating geometrical distortion in remote sounding by scanning sensor.
