FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to polyurethane compositions and elastomers based thereon and can be used to produce elastic, wear-resistant materials used in machine building, chemical and aviation industries. Disclosed is a polyurethane composition comprising a urethane prepolymer with terminal isocyanate groups and a curing mixture, and the components are taken in the following ratio: urethane prepolymer – 100 wt.pts., curing mixture – 40 wt.pts. Urethane prepolymer used is a prepolymer based on 2,4-toluene diisocyanate and polyether, and the curing mixture includes a solvent, a curing agent and a curing accelerator. Solvent used is acetone, the curing agent is 3,3'-dichloro-4,4'-diaminodiphenylmethane (MOCA), and the curing accelerator is oleic acid with the following ratio of acetone – 100 wt.pts., 3,3'-dichloro-4,4'-diaminodiphenylmethane – 100 wt.pts., oleic acid – 15 wt.pts. Also disclosed is a method of producing a urethane elastomer, which involves vacuum treatment of a prepolymer at temperature of 65-70 °C for at least 20-30 minutes with subsequent cooling to 20-25 °C, mixing with curing mixture, holding at ambient temperature and thermal treatment. Curing mixture used is the above mixture, mixing the prepolymer with the curing mixture, taken in said ratio, carried out at temperature of 20-25 °C, holding at ambient temperature for at least 2 hours, and heat treatment at temperature of 65-70 °C for at least 4 hours.

EFFECT: use of the new composition of the urethane composition and the new method of producing urethane elastomer based on said composition provides improved manufacturability of articles from the urethane elastomer, primarily large-sized and complex-shaped articles, without deterioration of its physical-chemical and physical-mechanical characteristics.
