FIELD: biotechnology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biotechnology, particularly to production (biosynthesis) of antimicrobial peptide Hst1-E2A in bacterial cells by introducing into these cells of vectors (genetic structures) carrying a gene coding peptide Hst1-E2A, having antimicrobial action to a wide range of both gram-negative, and gram-positive bacteria. Described is a method of producing antimicrobial peptide Hst1-E2A by SEQ ID: 1 by recombinant technology. For this purpose recombinant protein polyHst by SEQ ID: 2, obtained by expression of a bacterial cell transformed with plasmid ppolyHst by SEQ ID: 3, after cell lysis, it is sorbed on a metal-affinity column, where after washing and changing the buffer and pH, it decomposes into peptide Hst1-E2A, which is eluted from the column with a buffer containing imidazole. Purification of the antimicrobial peptide is carried out on one column within one chromatography, which further reduces the cost of the product. Antimicrobial peptide Hst1-E2A can be used as an antimicrobial agent in drugs and medical devices, primarily in diseases complicated by a bacterial infection resistant to antibiotics, as well as in cosmetology.

EFFECT: obtaining output of the antimicrobial peptide Hst1-E2A of not less than 15 mg per one litre of the culture medium, the precursor protein of which is expressed in prokaryote cells, which reduces the cost of this peptide as compared to the chemical synthesis method.
