FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to ophthalmology, and can be used in treating bullous keratopathy. For this purpose, corneal collagen cross-linking and phototherapeutic keratostromectomy are performed successively in one surgical intervention. Corneal surface is pre-washed with BSS solution and fluid is adsorbed by non-traumatic single-use micro swabs. Then, PRP plasma is applied on corneal surface and soft contact lens is applied on operated eye till complete corneal epithelisation. In the postoperative period, into conjunctival cavity 4 times a day instilled are solutions of tobromycin 0.3% for 2 weeks, diclofenac 0.1%, dexamethasone 0.1% and balarpan for 4 weeks.
EFFECT: invention provides an increase in the effectiveness and stability of the therapeutic effect in this category of patients due to the formation of cross-links between collagen fibres and compaction of the available collagen molecules, which prevents the penetration of moisture from the anterior chamber into the corneal stroma, besides, formed fibrocellular membrane after phototherapeutic keratostromectomy effectively functions as a biological barrier, allowing to arrest progression of bullous keratopathy.
