Shaft furnace with top gas-distributing device includes shaft, devices for loading, unloading and supply of process gas into material layer, central and peripheral gas outlets connected to the top gas pipeline. Furnace is equipped with an additional pipeline – bypass, connecting the above-layer working space of the furnace with the top gas pipeline, the bypass is equipped with a throttle control device, outlet part of the central gas outlet is made inside the peripheral gas outlet, wherein the ratio of the areas of their flow cross-sections is 0.25-0.75, and the outlet part of the central gas outlet does not reach the point of connection of the bypass with the top gas pipeline and is equipped with a throttle control device.
