FIELD: measuring.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to contactless measurement equipment. Device for determining the direction and speed of rotation of the shaft contains a fixed chamber made in the form of a ring. On inner generatrix of ring there are two grooves located diametrically opposite to each other, wherein one groove is directed towards the forward direction of rotation of the shaft and the forward vortex motion of the flow in the gap, and the second groove is directed towards the opposite direction of rotation of the shaft and the opposite vortex motion of the flow in the gap, wherein the first groove is connected to the first control input of the trigger for determining the forward direction of rotation of the shaft and to the unit for monitoring and indicating the speed in the forward direction of rotation of the shaft, second groove is connected via channel with second control input of flip-flop for determination of opposite direction of shaft rotation, with unit for control and indication of speed at opposite direction of shaft rotation.
EFFECT: providing contactless determination of direction of rotation and speed of rotation of an object.
