SUBSTANCE: invention relates to communication engineering and can be used in confidential multipoint video/audio conferencing. Preliminary forming a list of multimedia equipment for each participant with identifiers, determining and storing individual technical characteristics displaying features of each multimedia equipment, generating a digital copy of the image and voice of each legitimate participant in the confidential video conference, transmitting to the server and recording the obtained copies of the images, voices, list of multimedia equipment with identifiers and individual technical characteristics, displaying the features of each multimedia equipment, setting the personal composition of the participants of the confidential video conference, setting a test combination for assessing the quality of the routes, test audio/video signals for identification of multimedia equipment, required value of coefficient of similarity of multimedia equipment, images and voices of the participants, the period of identifying the multimedia equipment and the participants, the period of evaluating the quality of the routes, determining all available routes from the video conference server to the terminal devices of all participants, evaluating the quality of the routes, for which, from each terminal device along all available routes with a given period, a given test combination is transmitted to the server, the results of evaluating the quality of the routes are recorded in the database on the server, the routes are ranked by the number of bit errors from higher to lower ones; when providing a confidential videoconference service, a first route is selected from a database on the videoconference server, and audio/video information is transmitted.
