FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means of laser shock-wave hardening of surface of parts and materials. Method consists in the fact that a laser radiation absorbing layer is applied on the processed surface of the part. Said treated surface is placed with a gap under the flat transparent element. Fluid flow is created in said gap. Said flow is subjected to ultrasonic vibrations to produce laminar flow. Laser impact hardening pulses are generated to act on said treated surface via said flat transparent element and laminar flow of fluid.
EFFECT: higher quality of treatment.
