FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for laser shock-wave hardening of surface of parts and materials, in particular, to laser work-hardening. Apparatus has device (1) for generating laser pulses (2) with means of transmitting a laser pulse to treated surface (3), a flat transparent element (20), means for creating a liquid flow, source (12) of ultrasonic action on the liquid flow. Flat transparent element (20) is installed with a gap above processed surface (3) with the possibility of its position adjustment. Fluid flow generating means are configured to create fluid flow of constant thickness in said gap. Source (12) of ultrasonic action is made with possibility of providing laminar flow of said flow.
EFFECT: higher quality of treatment.
