FIELD: veterinary science.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to veterinary medicine, namely to experimental surgery, gastroenterology, and can be used for simulating distal jejunum ischemia in rabbits. A midline laparotomy is performed by means of a midline incision. A jejunal trunk is separated from the mesentery and ligatured from a non-absorbable suture material, the jejunal arteries extending from the jejunal trunk should remain distal from the ligature. Then the jejunum is placed back into the abdominal cavity, having given it an anatomically correct position, and the incisional wound is closed. In 12-24 hours, clinical and pathological signs of acute ischemia of the distal jejunum are recorded.
EFFECT: method is technically simple, effective, does not require use of additional equipment, use of chemical and biological substances, as well as exposure to physical factors, reduces injuries and time of surgical intervention.
