SUBSTANCE: upholstered furniture transformation device includes two transforming mechanisms, each of them containing attachment bars to be attached to the transformable article structural support elements and consists of pivotally interconnected levers. The levers of the seat transformation mechanism are pivotally attached to the attachment bars of the seat base and the foundation while the back transformation mechanism consists of four links; the upper lever is U-shaped and has different-sized lateral sides; the horizontal crosspiece of the upper lever is designed to have an attachment bar for its rigid connection to the to the lower part of the back base while the end of the U-shaped lever lateral sides are pivotally connected to the ends of the lateral turning levers; the lower lever is trapezoid-shaped with a stop formed on its minor base inside to take the load of the lateral turning lever while the furniture is in the folded sitting position; the attachment bar is positioned on either of the lateral sides of the lever for its rigid connection to the foundation; the ends of the lower lever lateral sides are pivotally connected to opposite ends of the lateral turning levers. The lateral turning lever butting against the stop while the furniture is in the folded sitting position is designed in the form of an obtuse angle while the second lateral turning lever is rectilinear-shaped.
