FIELD: radio engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of radio engineering and can be used in the development and modernization of means of monitoring the operability of an on-board receiver-indicator of a satellite radio navigation system (SRNS). In the disclosed method, the final decision on the operability or inoperability of the onboard receiver indicator is formed based on two particular decisions on the operability or inoperability of the onboard receiver indicator, the first of which is formed using the terrain altitude values coming from the digital terrain map (DTM) and the relative flight altitude values of the aircraft (AC) coming from the radio altimeter, corrected if necessary taking into account the aircraft pitch and roll values coming from the angular position sensor. And the second particular solution is formed using the values of the aircraft flight altitude, which do not depend on the terrain relief, coming from the barometric altimeter. Final decision on the inoperability of the on-board receiver-indicator of the SRNS is formed only if both the first and second particular solutions correspond to this final decision. This makes it possible to exclude a significant number of erroneous decisions on inoperability of the on-board receiver-indicator of the SRNS, which are caused by the mismatch of the values of heights recorded in the DTM with the real values of heights of the terrain and, as a result, leads to increase in the reliability of monitoring the operability of the on-board receiver-indicator of the SRNS as a whole.
