FIELD: mining.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mining, in particular to development of deposits from the bottom of the continental shelf and coastal placers in conditions of subzero temperatures. Method of underwater extraction of sands on the Arctic shelf includes washing, suction and lifting of bottom sands to the surface through a process opening on ice. Upon reaching the bottomhole depth limit, the mining equipment and the pulp line are returned to their initial positions. At the bottom of the funnel, a well passes through a well; an explosive charge with a design and parameters for a shaking explosion is placed. Tamping is placed in the wellhead to prevent blowout and charge is blasted with formation of gravity sliding of bottom sands into the excavation funnel. After the funnel is filled with bottom sands, the mining equipment is returned to the face and the process cycle is repeated in the same sequence of operations of the extraction process as in the initial cycle.
EFFECT: increased volume of sand extraction from one process opening.
