FIELD: information security.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of controlling the process of functioning (PF) of a heterogeneous information security system (HetISS) in conditions of destructive effects. Conditions of their static and dynamic stability are set for the means of HetISS. General function of security breach of HetISS is determined and a control action (CA) is implemented for its means, which triggers their functional processes (FP). Fact of exposure and the current configuration of the HetISS are recorded. Fulfillment of the conditions of stability of the HetISS is evaluated, and in the absence of their violation, the CA is implemented for further implementation of the FP of the HetISS facilities and cancellation of the previously performed functional replacements. In case of violation of conditions of stability of HetISS for its unstable means, implementation of CA interrupting their FP.

EFFECT: improving controllability and reducing resource intensity of the PF of HetISS.
